Many people with depression, anxiety regularly visit a music therapist. Children with special needs also take music therapy sessions. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the whole world came to a standstill. Lockdowns stopped the whole world and people were forced to stay indoors. Still today, many countries are under full or partial lockdowns. Many people lost their jobs, business and livelihood. Children too had to switch to online education and that is continuing. Millions of people are in distress. Music has saved the lives of many people. We saw on social media and news media, how people were singing or playing an instrument from their windows. People who did not know each other joined from their windows and balconies and made music together. This is the power of music. Many people who left performing music, cleaned up their voices and instruments and again sang or played their instruments. Many children started online music classes offered by music schools like Academy for Musical Excellence. They are learning many subjects like Piano, Keyboard, Guitar, Drums, Violin, Western Vocals, Indian Vocals and also Bollywood music. Many teachers and institutes are offering short courses, masterclasses, seminars to increase engagement. Many performers and music educators got a scope to upgrade themselves. The whole world became a big family. The distance was not a factor anymore. Innovations and new practices have improved the quality of music teaching, learning and performing.
Many adults who wished to learn music but did not get a scope to learn due to their busy schedule, joined music lessons.
